Konica here today at the blog and Welcome to the another month on the Craftyscrappers monthly challenge.

Lets begin the fun with a new challenge for the month of August, and for this fabulous month we have a very special theme oriented challenge for you all, which is RAKSHABANDHAN.

Raksha Bandhan is the celebration of the unsaid promise that every brother makes to his sister, to stand by her and protect her through all the hurdles of life. It’s the promise to cherish the good times and fight against all odds with togetherness. It’s a day to remember the sweet little moments of childhood when the world was nothing but a large playground to foster dreams together.
In Sanskrit, Raksha Bandhan means ‘tie of protection.’ On this festive day, the sister ties a Rhaki bracelet made of silken threads of red and gold, to her brother’s wrist, praying for his health. The brother responds by vowing to protect her. The sentiment is to renew and strengthen the filial bond of peace and love. During the ceremony, sacred verses from Hindu scriptures are spoken.

mixed media, altered art,money envelopes …anything crafty,
