Hello everyone,
This is Priyadarshini, Creative Designer @craftyscrappers
and today I have a different card project.
Today I am doing an inspiration post for Craftyscrappers using Mirror image technique here. Mirror image technique has become so popular these days and works best with asymmetrical stamps. I have done this with digital images but this is the first time with stamps.
For today’s post I am using Fluttering butterflies,
Mirror mirror-reverse stamp set
and Fairy stamp from Craftyscrappers.
The butterfly stamp is too beautiful to use and lovely to colour.
So here’s my Finished MIRROR FLUTTERING BUTTERFLIES FAIRY CARD
A BRIEF TUTORIAL:
- 1. I removed the foam pad from my Misti tool and placed a piece of acetate and placed my stamp (stamping side facing up) on it.
- I positioned the mirror stamp to line with the stamp. Once I close the Misti door, the mirror stamp will stick on the door.
- I inked the stamp and when I close the misti door the ink gets transferred to the mirror stamp. I repeated this 2-3 times so the mirror stamp gets a lot of ink.
- I immediately removed the stamp and kept the foam pad and sheet of card stock and closed the misti door.
- The stamped image on the mirror piece gets on the card (need to add a lot of pressure for the image to get transferred well)
- I stamped a normal image of the butterfly and the fairy.
- I coloured them with pencils and fuzzy them.
- I embossed a card stock and rubbed some distress ink on the raised portions. I added some dots with my silver gel pen.
- Stamped the sentiment with added a small piece of twine from back of fairy to make it look like she is carrying the message.
- I added some foam tape to the butterflies and added them to the card. I added the entire piece to a top fold note card.
